This would be great to be able to add the Piwik dashboard in frames and since you are looking to implement Piwik this year (according to some other post I found) this may be an easy work around to get some of us to be able to use it right away. Is there any reason the ability to add a custom widget can't be done?

No, we can enable custom widgets. Does piwik have a special iframe code?

Piwik does have a custom code. Here's an example:
<iframe src="<>" frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" width="100%" height="100%">

This is from my install of Piwik:

With Piwik, you can export your Web Analytics reports on your blog, website, or intranet dashboard... in one click.
› Widget authentication: If you want your widgets to be viewable by everybody, you first have to set the 'view' permissions to the anonymous user in the Users Management section.
Alternatively, if you are publishing widgets on a password protected or private page, you don't necessarily have to allow 'anonymous' to view your reports. In this case, you can add the secret token_auth parameter (found in the API page) in the widget URL.
› Widgetize the full dashboard: You can also display the full Piwik dashboard in your application or website in an IFRAME (see example). The date parameter can be set to a specific calendar date, "today", or "yesterday". The period parameter can be set to "day", "week", "month", or "year". The language parameter can be set to the language code of a translation, such as language=fr. For example, for idSite=1 and date=yesterday, you can write:
› Select a report, and copy paste in your page the embed code below the widget:
Example Widgets
Visitors
Actions
Referrers
Visitor Settings
Goals
SEO
Visits Summary
Live!
GeoIP

If you need a tester let me know- If you're able to do this it would be great and I think you would get a lot of additional people because not everyone wants to have all their blogs with the Big G but they want to track them some way and Piwik is a good open source self-hosted alternative.

Any update for this? I would be interested in being able to add information from several plugins like broken link checker and a file monitor.
