Let's highlight WordPress hosting companies that offer high quality shared hosting, suitable for WordPress.

If you host more than 5 blogs on a shared hosting account and your ManageWP dashboard loads without a problem with high ManageWP setting for'"Max requests per IP"' (>10) please list your hosting company here.

I'm running 11 sites on one shared Bluehost.com "Platinum Pak" account that all load with no issues to ManageWP.

My MWP dash has another 11 sites from different hosting accounts– most of them also at Bluehost.  Bluehost uses a cPanel interface.

Of the hosting companies I've worked with, I really like Bluehost's support– I never wait very long, and they are very helpful.

I have one client account at Network Solutions that has continual difficulties–resets file permissions every time I update WP, for example, and is down maybe every other week.  I finally had to remove that site from ManageWP, but I see this as a reflection on the hosting company, not MWP!

I am currently using Justhost.com.

Everything was running well until I added my 28th site.

I had had my high ManageWP setting for "Max requests

per IP' (>10).

Now, 9 of my sites are showing up red eventhough I

am still able to access and edit them through the

ManageWP dashboard. Because I am still able to access

and edit the sites, I'm not entirely sure if this is a

problem or not.

management interface: cpanel

I would almost wager having a cPanel account is 2/3rds of the answer.

I prefer HostGator. I heard a rumor that Vlad is giving away FREE hosting for everyone!!

bluehost and inmotion work great imho.

godaddy has been problematic;  only the use of w3tc w3 total cache plugin after tuning has made a godaddy blog sufficient for me (I inherited the management of this blog at godaddy).

This is my first post and I have yet to set up any of my blogs under Manage WP……..

However, I used WordPress Direct to control about 17 Wordpress Sites and 15 of them were hosted by D9 Hosting.com where I have about 50 sites.

Dan Thompson and Paula Brett give an amazingly friendly service and their Help Desk is far better than any I have experienced (and I've tried a lot, including Hostgator).

I will set up sites under Manage WP and if there is any problem I'll come straight back and say so – but I don't expect to!

No problems with:

  • DreamHost (Custom Panel)
  • BlueHost/HostMonster (cPanel)
  • HostGator (cPanel)
  • InMotion  (cPanel)

The only sites I've had continual problems with are all on the same dedicated windows box running Windows Server 2003/IIS6/Helm (EPHost).

… I've got 8 WP sites on Dreamhost, and it's pretty darn miserable at times. I like the host provider, but their thread killer is just nuts.

On some of the sites, I get 404s or 500 errors constantly, because the php process is getting killed. As the WordPress versions get higher, so are the problems. The most frustrating part is there's no real way to identify what the memory hog is, or isn't.

Yeah, there's plugins that show it on the dashboard. Great. What about elsewhere?

I didn't have that problem with a set of sites on HostMonster, and that bunch got moved to a dedicated box eventually. I really despise cPanel and the way it's got sites within your "main" site, so I don't want to move from Dreamhost just to find a cPanel mess again.

Likewise, when logging on with ManageWP and refreshing the sites, invariably at least 2 or three of them appear in red and the only way to fix that is to drop and add them. It's basically makes this service nearly worthless due to that performance bit. I've even got it turned down quite a bit,  so I'm kinda surprised by the above posts that say DreamHost with multiple sites.

Just joined, but have a 100GB/2GB guaranteed RAm/1.5ghz/Unlimited bandwidth/CentOS dedicated Apache server with Webhosting Buzz and another Fedora Red Hat with GoDaddy. Should do the trick. Sealed

Will update everyone when I add many sites.
