As you know ManageWP automatic update feature currently works with regular WordPress.org plugins and themes only.

We plan to contact authors of premium plugins and themes to create support for updating their products as well.

You can help by identifying the most popular ones you use by listing them in this thread.

Update: ManageWP now supports updates for the following Premium plugins and themes

Pagelines
StudioPress (Genesis)
Catalyst
Gravity Forms
WPMU.org plugins
WPTouch
Dev4Press

I use backupbuddy by ithemes on all my sites. I thought it had been upgraded autmomatically through ManageWP. I didn't realise that premium themes and plugins weren't supported.  I'll have to go and check…

Gravity forms- more than 150.000 sites out there use gravity forms.

Actually I don't understand why the wp worker plugin cannot detect premium plugins natively, because WordPress itself displays "there are updates available" for wordpress.org plugins as well as (for instance) gravity forms (I have developer license)….there must be some hook you can, well, hook into to "read" that ?

oh well, I'm not a programmer :-(

The text you see comes from Gravity forms – not Wordpress, it just looks the same. Unfortunately the problem is that every premium plugin and theme out there uses its own, different, upgrade mechanism.

Gravity Forms & Shopp so far….

Gravity Forms isn't recognized at all… it seems ManageWP recognizes that there's a Shopp update, but for me the Shopp update info (version, etc.) displays as blank text in the ManageWP dashboard… i think it showed a backslash where you'd expect to see "Shopp"

I use iThemes Builder with builder child themes on all my sites.

I also use iThemes premium plugins and WPMUdev plugins.

Thanks

Sue
