Install WordPress Using ManageWP
Not every user is familiar with setting up a WordPress website. Taking this into consideration, you can use ManageWP to install a new WordPress website. This is just another example of how you can use ManageWP to carry out all of your WordPress tasks. It’s incredibly simple to deploy a fresh WordPress installation, and you’ll be up and running in a few minutes. To install WordPress using ManageWP you will need the following details:
- Website URL
- FTP Details
- Database Details
1. Create Your Database
You will need to create the MySQL database that you want to install WordPress to. To do this log in to your hosting provider. The following two steps will show you how to create a MySQL database using cPanel. For other methods refer to the WordPress Codex.
Scroll down to MySQL Databases
Give your database a name.
Click Create Database.
2. Add a User to Your Database
You need to add a user to your database. Scroll down to Add New User.
Add the user to the database.
Give your user the necessary permissions.
You’re now ready to install your WordPress site using ManageWP.
3. Log in to ManageWP
Log in to the ManageWP Dashboard. Navigate to Backup/Migrate > Clone/Migration wizard.
From the drop-down menu, click on Clean WordPress.
Select whether you want to install to an Existing Website on Your Account or to a New Website.
4. Add Your Setup Details
Now you’ll need your domain name and your FTP details.
After clicking on Next, you’ll need to input the database details you’ve just created at your hosting provider’s cPanel inside the MySQL Databases area.
Inside this window, you can also change the default wp_ table prefix if you wish to use another one.
After clicking on Next, you will now be able to choose the wp-admin username and password for your new WordPress site!
Afterwards, a window will pop up asking you if you want to go ahead.
Click on Clone, sit back and watch the progress bar and after a few minutes, you’ll get the following message:
Your new WordPress website is now ready to go!
