It’s time for #WCBGD, and the hype is real!

We are only a few days away from WordCamp Belgrade, and everyone is getting excited. It’s going to be a weekend packed full of talks, workshops, city tours and great food & drinks. I want to introduce you to the people behind the scenes, and give you an overall idea of what we have planned.

But first …

Are you ready for #WCBGD? from ManageWP on Vimeo.

The talk & workshop schedule

This year we have 11 talks in English, 10 in Serbian, 2 workshops in English (one for kids), and 1 in Croatian. It’s safe to say there is a little bit of something for everyone. With two tracks named after the two rivers that flow through the city of Belgrade, Sava and Danube, you will be able to hear about design, development, content marketing, SEO and UX. Have a look a the full speaker schedule.

Contributing Day will be held at the GoDaddy offices, but we promise a breathtaking view of the rivers. During Contributing day you can expect 3 workshops, and don’t forget to bring your kids as one is tailor made just for them.

Petya is joining us and will be holding a workshop for up to 20 kids (sign up to reserve a spot). The goal of the workshops is to introduce WordPress to a younger audience and to show different aspects of the software to kids who are interested in writing or developing with it. While your kids are taken care of, you can enjoy two other workshops. Emanuel will be talking in Croatian about client work and communication. Most importantly, what if you land the wrong type of client and what to do about it. The third workshop is held by me in English, and it will focus on the art of storytelling, and how to apply it to content marketing.

The day will end with a walking tour, that will take you through the heart of Belgrade, and back to town centre where you can then enjoy the rest of your day.

Party time!

For those who have been to Belgrade before you might have noticed that we are big on the nights out. This year will be no exception. On Saturday join us in the hip part of Belgrade, where we will kick off the official WordCamp after party at 21h, on Saturday May 13, in one of Belgrade’s trendiest clubs, Mladost. We have an area for all of us at the club (you will get your drink coupons), but bring your plus one, as there is plenty of space for everyone. Make sure you don’t miss it!
