Client Reports New Features with ManageWP Orion

Client Reports have been around from the near beginning, because we know how important it is to be able to create professional and fully editable reports for your clients. Clients like to know everything there is to know about everything there is, and now they can (at least when it comes to their websites).

Include More Things In Your Orion Client Reports

We have added a few new features to the Orion Client Reports. You already had Updates, Backups, Optimization, Analytics, Security and Performance.  Now you can also add

  • Uptime Monitor
  • SEO Ranking
  • Custom date format (Not everyone reads their date in the same way, so now you can customize it to your clients depending on the country they come from)

… But That’s Not All

We tried to even further personalize and adapt Client Reports, so that you can customize as much of it as you like. We added a Report Title, giving you the option to name your report (maximum 44 characters available) and it will appear on the cover page. We have also included Markdown Support both on the introduction and outro message

All of the above is a just a few clicks when you are bulk managing your Client Reports, you can have access to all of the new features that will keep your clients informed and happy.

Single Website Client Report History

We listened to what you told us and we heard you so we created a Client Report History per website. In your single website option, when you go to Client Reports you will be able to see all past Client Reports for that website. This includes Client Reports made just for that website, but also Client Reports for multiple websites in which that particular website was featured. Now, everything is in one place.

… But That’s Not All

You can do more than just look at all of the past Client Reports, you can Download them (again and again), as well as Re-send them (again and again) to your clients. Everything you have ever sent your clients is documented and you can always refer to it and if your client loses/deletes or can’t find his report (we know this happens more often than not) you can re-send it with one click. No more having to re-make a Client Report.

Client Report Manage Your Templates

Okay, so we didn’t just want to give you a list of all the Client Reports you have made, we couldn’t stop there, so we have created a list of all of your templates and now you can manage them. Managing Templates has never been easier, with one click you can edit, duplicate and delete a template.

… But That’s Not All

You no longer need to create a Client Report and then save that as a template, you can now just create a template. We have added this option in, so you can create as many templates as you need without having to send them as Client Reports first.

What Does The Future Hold For Client Reports

As you can see we are always adding new bits and bobs and thinking about new ways to make Client Reports better.

We are hoping to create an automation process, where you can set up your Client Report once and have it automatically send to your clients once a month or on a specific date each month. We are thinking about a few options, either have the Client Reports be sent directly without you having to do any extra work, or before being sent to your client for you to get a notification asking you to approve the Client Report. One way you get to have direct reports sent without any extra effort, but you might want to double check them before sending. Otherwise, checking them requires more of your time, but avoids any information being passed onto your clients without your knowledge. Let us know what you would prefer, or would you like to have the option to choose between the two? 

We are also thinking about making Client Reports even more customizable than they already are, giving you the option to pick a color and language of your report.

    There’s just no stopping you guys! Loving all of the new features heading into Orion. I think automation is certainly a needed feature as a priority – giving users the option to approve should they need it, I think is a great idea.

    It would be great if this could work on a per client basis too – some bigger clients it may be worth knowing information prior to it being sent out, whereas, with smaller clients, there may be less to tell them and the automation and auto send out would speed up the whole process.

    You folks are awesome! Orion just keeps getting better and better. I love that you add features without adding bloat.

    The only other wish I can think of for client reports is to be able to generate several at the same time. I see that when I select several sites and then select Client Report, it creates a combined report for all the sites. This is great for the occasional client who has multiple sites, but more often I’d just like to create several individual reports.

    Again you hit it right on the spot. I can’t wait to use all these fabulous new abilities!

    Whenever it is possible, let us choose. I know it will cost some extra work, but as we all know, not two clients are the same. And the same goes for us, your users. Some may want full automation, some may want to check it out before releasing it. And some may even want to do the automatic for some clients, but check it first for others!

    So it’s all a matter of weighing what is possible against the cost of programmering and cluttered interface.

    If you ask us, we just want it all! :o)

    Notification to approve the report before sending is best.
    Really enjoy received these kind of news in the dashboard and reading about them. Great stuff and here. The languages option is also important.

    Great updates! good work!
    One more item we’d like to see improved on client reports is the name of the PDF emailed to the client. It is currenlty a unique string and a date (ie Client Report-56f4657a1fb73-2016-03-25.pdf). It would be great if it included the site’s URL and date range (Client-Report-yourdomain_com-2016-02-25-2016-03-24.pdf) or something we can define manually in the template.

    ManageWP is fast becoming my mostest favoritest company I use! (extra “est” added for emphasis!) I love the new features! Also, your team challenges me to improve my company’s push to have a client-first mentality in all services, products, and customer support. Thank you! Maybe I’ll be like you when (if?!) I grow up! 🙂

    In regards to the automation question, I personally would like it to check with me before going out. The reason is that I want to quickly review and then add notes to the beginning and end of the report. I can use these to draw the client’s attention to a particular section of the report. That could give an opportunity for us to have a conversation about a new project to say improve SEO, move to a better/higher priced hosting plan, add a CDN or anything else that could result in a upsell opportunity that benefits the client.

    I’m finding with most of my clients that they are not fully aware of/appreciate the benefits of services and website best practices until I show them numbers and reports. These client reports are a phenomenal tool to give clients a baseline and awareness of the impact of every action they want to take regarding their website.

    Another request would be the option to include the client’s logo somewhere on the report. Just like people love hearing their first name, client’s love seeing their logo.

    Final suggestion/idea, would it be difficult to add optional footer fields to add support/helpdesk contact information to the bottom of each page. I’m trying to encourage my clients to send support requests to a particular email address that is used with my helpdesk platform, TeamworkDesk, instead of emailing me directly and junking up my inbox!

    Everything looks great, the only thing i see is the logo that was already uploaded in my template is not showing up and will not let me change.

    For us, language is the most important. Being able to translate it to Norwegian would do wonders. Also automation of sending and creating reports would be awesome.

    Really looking forward to the client report automation. With 189 sites in my Dashboard, doing them individually each month is just not feasible.

    Looking forward to the automated reports! I like the idea of being able to review and approve the reports before they are sent, maybe this can be a selectable check-box when setting up the automated report! i.e. “Do you want to approve this automated report before sending to client?” YES/NO. Any ways, bring on more fantastic updates – keep em coming!

    Hi can you set a different logo for each website report so for each client or is a logo set globally in the settings which applies to all client reports? For example i may want to provide white label reports to 10 of my associates each will want their logo on there to then send to their clients as if the reports are from my associates?

    Hi, just started testing your service, and all i can say is, I LOVE IT!!
    Talking about translations, it’s a heavy handicap for my clients, and would definitely pay for it.
    I could help you with the spanish (ES-es) translation if you need it.
    About the automation process of sending the report to my clients, i prefer to decide on a per-client basis if i want it automated, or revised by me before sending

    Am I missing something or it not possible to bulk-send reports for each site? Say a monthly report.

    Hi, I was just wondering if you are implementing the option a) tochange/modify the entry page and b) to have the possibility to remove the ManageWP in the footer of the report. Especially last thing I do not understand as ManageWP is a paid solution and we pay to have white lable.
