Announcing Direct WordPress Dashboard Access from the ManageWP iOS App!

ManageWP iOS App

We’ve just released an update to the ManageWP iOS app with one particular additional feature that we think you’re going to love.

Just click on the “Sites” button in the top menu bar and you’ll get a list of your websites by group:

Then double click on whichever site you’d like to access and the site’s WordPress dashboard will open up within the ManageWP app!

Could you contact us at so we could find out more about this and help?

  2. kevin

Will you be also creating a version optimized for iPads that better fits the larger screen?

    1. ManageWP

      Hi Kevin

Still thinking about it. huge job, given the complexity of the app. What would the main feature be for you?

      1. kevin

I haven’t had a chance to try it on my iPhone yet, but did install it on my iPad and thought it would be nice to make use of the larger screen size. Though I guess it makes sense to just log in to the admin through my browser.

    hi guys,

just upgraded the iPhone app but,
    – refreshing takes forever
    – no list of my sites

  4. Deb

The app closes down every time I try to perform any of the wp/plugin/theme update actions or when I try to open any site’s WP Admin.

I am using an older model iPhone 3GS, could that be the problem? I can provide further information if required. Want to see this working.

    1. ManageWP

Yes please contact with details of the issue.

I didn’t even know there was an iOS app, awesome!

  6. Wil

Yawn… still waiting for the Android app. C’mon, let’s not ignore the number one smartphone platform.

    1. ManageWP

Wil, we already have it running on Android, and expect it by the end of the month!

      1. Daniel Schutzsmith

Awesome – Android app will be EPIC!

      2. iwmanagewp

My Galaxy S3 is waiting for your app. I have left a space on my tools screen for it. Bottom center for ease of thumb access. 😉

  7. Darnell Jackson

    Very impressive Tom,

Any security issues? I would assume you have to give the app your WP password or does it act like a browser?

    1. ManageWP

The iOS app uses the same ManageWP security, which means OpenSSL encrypted communication directly with the Worker plugin on the site. Highly secure, and no passwords are needed.

I hope the Ipad app goes soon!
