Manage Users

How does it work?

You can add and manage WordPress users directly from your dashboard, without logging into the WordPress admin area. Only default WordPress user roles are supported. We advise syncing the dashboard before managing users to ensure that all recent changes from your WordPress site are displayed in ManageWP.

New to ManageWP? Here’s how to get started!

  • Add a new WordPress user

    1. In your dashboard, go to the website where you want to add a new WordPress user.
    2. In the left sidebar, click Users.
    3. Click Add New User.
    4. Fill in the user information in the corresponding fields.
    5. (Optional) To notify the user, select the checkbox next to Send the new user an email about their account.
    6. Click Add New User.

  • Edit WordPress users 

    1. In your dashboard, go to the website where you want to manage WordPress users. 
    2. On the left sidebar, click Users. 
    3. If your website has multiple user roles (e.g., Administrator, Editor), click the tab that corresponds to the role of the user(s) you want to edit. 
    4. Click the checkbox next to the user(s) you want to edit. 
    5. Click Edit user.
      • If you have selected only one user, click Edit Profile, Change Role, or Change Password. 
      • If you have selected multiple users, click Change Role or Change Password. 
    6. After making changes, click Change User Info, Change Role, or Change Password. 

  • Delete WordPress users

    1. In your dashboard, go to the website where you want to delete WordPress users.
    2. In the left sidebar, click Users.
    3. If your website has multiple user roles (e.g., Administrator, Editor), click the tab that corresponds to the role of the user(s) you want to delete.
    4. Select the checkbox next to the user(s).
    5. Click Delete.
    6. Choose whether to delete all content created by the user or attribute it to another user, then click Delete.

  • Manage WordPress users on multiple websites

    1. In your dashboard, click Websites.
    2. Select the checkboxes for the websites where you want to manage users.
    3. Click Tools, then Users.
    4. From here, follow the same steps as for a single website (see above).
