Vulnerabilities

With Vulnerability Updates, we’ll alert you when plugins or themes on your website have known vulnerabilities. Such plugins and themes will be marked with an orange triangle in the Updates widget.

When you hover over the triangle, you’ll see what the vulnerability is. For further info, click the triangle and you’ll go to a page with more details from Patchstack’s vulnerability database.

New to ManageWP? Here’s how to get started!

  • Find websites with vulnerabilities

    1. In the left icon sidebar, click Websites.
    2. Find websites marked with an orange triangle. After you click the triangle, you’ll get to the page where you can update the vulnerable plugins or themes.

  • Vulnerability updates on a single website

    1. In your dashboard, go to the website where you want to make an update.
    2. In the Updates widget, select the Plugins tab.
    3. Hover over the orange triangle for each vulnerable plugin to get the info on what the vulnerability is.
      • For further info, click the triangle and you’ll go to a page from Patchstack’s vulnerability database with more details.
    4. Select the checkboxes next to all vulnerable plugins, then click Update or Safe Update.
    5. In the Updates widget, select the Themes tab and repeat the process for your themes.

  • Vulnerability updates on multiple websites

    1. In your dashboard, in the left icon sidebar, make sure that Overview is selected.
    2. In the Updates widget, select the Plugins tab.
    3. Hover over the orange triangle for each vulnerable plugin to get the info on what the vulnerability is.
      • For further info, click the triangle and you’ll go to a page from Patchstack’s vulnerability database with more details.
    4. (Optional) Click each plugin to get the list of the websites where this vulnerability is present.
    5. Select the checkboxes next to all vulnerable plugins, then click Update or Safe Update.
    6. In the Updates widget, select the Themes tab and repeat the process for your themes.
